Microform Specifications

Microfiche is silver halide fiche and conforms to standards for archival permanence established by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM). Fiche generally are 98-frame format with a 24:1 reduction ratio and may be in either positive or negative polarity. For most collections, microfiche sleeves are provided only on request and at additional charge.
