LexisNexis Launches Advanced Government Solutions
Solution Set Extends LexisNexis Industry-Leading Online Products to Enable Government Customers to Make More Effective Decisions

WASHINGTON, DC, June 26, 2006 - Today LexisNexis U.S., a leading provider of information solutions and services, announced the launch of LexisNexis^® Advanced Government Solutions to enable customers across federal, state and local government to transform data into mission-critical decisions. In developing Advanced Government Solutions, LexisNexis extends its government-focused offerings to provide comprehensive solutions for effective decision-making, building on its 30-year heritage of data expertise, data fusion technology and advanced analytics.

LexisNexis and parent company Reed Elsevier demonstrated their commitment to the government market through the strategic acquisition of Seisint in 2004, which enabled the company to enhance its solutions offering by providing advanced data fusion and linking technology that can be deployed for on-premise use within the government enterprise.  In addition, in 2003, LexisNexis Special Services was created as a U.S.-owned subsidiary of Reed Elsevier Inc. for the specific purpose of delivering solutions to customers with classified missions.  In recent months, LexisNexis Special Services has strengthened its management team through the addition of seasoned executives with experience in the federal government market.
